Not For Broadcast

New DLC for Not For Broadcast is here with Bits Of Your Life giving us all another crack at the fun of Not For Broadcast

Those who needed more for Not For Broadcast to experience, need only look to their downloads again with the release of Bits Of Your Life out there. This is some new DLC that NotGames has put together for the game on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Available as soon as you are done reading these words at that. All so you can get back into the weird world of Not For Broadcast and push the censor button one more time in the game. Well, more like many more times given how it all flows and things getting a little political here. Just around the time of some major elections out there too. Interesting if I do say so myself…

The gameplay for this new set of tapes for Not For Broadcast looks as if they are going to run the same as the gameplay we have seen in many of the other broadcasts we have had already. So, the focus will most likely be more on the story that is going to unfold in the mix here and how we get it all to play out. With making the host of a chat show break down into tears or making a fool of the future Prime Minister during their run for the office. All with that fun musical gameplay that was the bane of many in the core Not For Broadcast and other DLC too. Maybe that has been tweaked a bit to help out in Bits Of Your Life. Thankfully, we do not need to wait long for that as we can see it here and download it right now.

Not For Broadcast — Bits Of Your Life

Not For Broadcast, the chaotic television news propaganda sim from developer NotGames and publisher tinyBuild switches the channel to host a special episode of the popular chat show, Bits Of Your Life with the launch of the latest DLC on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The premise of the show should be simple. The host has years of experience, the guest is Peter Clement, the leader of Advance and the potential future Prime Minister. All you need to do is bring out guests from Clement’s inner circle to dive deeper into his celebrity past and glimpse into his political future.

But here’s the thing about “simple”: it doesn’t make good television. It’s time to head back to the editing chair and start working your magic. Someone at the station has given you the power to decide which guests come out in which order, and as the saying goes - with great power comes great opportunity (for chaos!). And of course, you’ll also be picking the camera angles, choosing the ads, and censoring any words too juicy for early evening TV.

Not For Broadcast’s Bits Of Your Life DLC is available now on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, available discounted as part of the Not For Broadcast Season Pass or the Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game. The game supports English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Spanish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese languages.

Game Features:

  • Keep ratings high by picking the best angles, censoring the worst swear words, and playing VT.
  • Bring out the guests in any order you want, derailing the show and upsetting just about everyone.
  • Track different combinations of guests and discover new combinations using your in-game notepad.
  • Hours of footage, branching paths, and ten distinct endings designed to be played through multiple times.
  • Uncover the truth about Peter Clement, or at least make him look very stupid. Don’t feel bad - he’s a politician!

I fell in love with Not For Broadcast when I first played it. Mostly, given some of my past in the industry it is diving into with the core gameplay. So far, I have also not been let down by the DLC and all of the other things added into the mix from it all. With many bits of gameplay live on our channel with more to come after digging in further. While the topics brought up in this one does not fit what I would find fun out there, I will say that getting the option to make someone cry and ruin a political career does hold some water and interest for me to dive back in. I guess I know what I am going to be doing this coming weekend if I get some time to dodge the events going on around town locally. Which means I will be.

Have you had a chance to experience what Not For Broadcast has to offer out there or did you miss out up to now? How do you feel about the DLC that we keep getting and does it make sense to slowly place it out there as they have or is all of this something that should have been part of the core story? Do you like the musical numbers in the mix or are they too frustrating to get correct that you just 'hope' your way through them all? Head to the comments and discuss all of this while not getting censored out. If we get more to share for Not For Broadcast, we will certainly drop it all here for you. Please keep on checking back in for all of that and much more of the gameplay we can offer out there into the world.
