Do Not Get Caught Out There In The World Of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk

The story of Cyberpunk continues with a new bit of gameplay, story, and release date for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Just on the tail of the Summer Game Fest, we had one more big announcement for Cyberpunk 2077 drop out there. Yes, get the groans out of the way, but CD Projekt RED are still all-in on this and aiming to get us all back into Night City with the next DLC. Something that we can all look forward to on September 26th to hit the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Yes, we have a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 — Phantom Liberty now. Not only that but also a new bit of gameplay and more information on what we will be doing in the mix of the DLC now.

As we gear up to head back into Night City, it looks like some of the landscape has changed since we last played Cyberpunk 2077. An old area has been taken over by a cartel of sorts that seems to be building up the area for the better. This is, of course, a rouse and a way to obfuscate the truth going on underneath. Rather like we see all the time in the real world so that the population does not turn on those in power. One more of the various commentaries that Cyberpunk has on the world and we will be able to bring it crashing down if we so choose to do that.

Next we get a little look at the new gameplay style that Cyberpunk 2077 — Phantom Liberty is going to blend into it all for us. Things are getting more on the espionage side of things and we will be forced to go a little more stealthy in the game. Given that, it does look like we will have some new cyber ware we can use in Cyberpunk 2077 to better facilitate all of that. One of which is a new bit that will let us shift our outer appearance on the fly. It is not clear if it will be something we can do whenever in the game or if it will be something we will have to work with in various missions. Still rather cool, though.

Lastly, we have a look at the new character coming in with Cyberpunk 2077 — Phantom Liberty. This is the Idris Elba character that made the internet go crazy when first shown off. The character looks to be a bit of a ghost but also a character called in when a government needs to be toppled. Almost like the U.S. has done in the past with other countries we are seeing the area of Cyberpunk 2077 turning into. That is the character's specialty and I have a feeling we are going to be another pawn in the play of all of this. Not a bad deal as long as the gameplay holds up here.
