A new trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has released, instead of the game, and it looks like we can see the South Park mission that starts it all
I know I am not alone when I say I'd like to be playing South Park: The Fractured But Whole as of right now. Yesterday (12/6) was the original release date for the game and now we sit and wait for the new date to even be announced for some time in "Early 2017." This is just how video games go sometime and hopefully all of this waiting means that Ubisoft is more about getting us a great game instead of padding numbers for the year. One can hope and I know that I still have high hopes for South Park and am glad to see that we have a new trailer to look at instead of the game that we should have had. Oh well, it's the little things for now.
You can see the latest trailer just below and while it doesn't detail out any of the new mechanics coming to The Fractured But Whole, it does look like we have a look at how the game is going to start off. It will all start off with a missing cat in the area that The Coon wants to help find. Why do I say that this will be the start? Well if you look at all of the gear everyone else is wearing in those scenes here, they are still dressed in their fantasy gear from South Park: The Stick Of Truth. Even when Cartman brings a bunch of the other kids from South Park inside to join his quest, you can see it. While not the most exciting thing, it does look like we have a look at the start of the game.
In addition to all of that, it does look like Ubisoft is giving us a look at some of the heroes we will be joining forces with, or fighting against, in South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Most of them are what we already know; at least for fans of the show and who have been following along closely. Not a huge surprise but none the less a fun little video to remind us that the game should have been here already and that we are still waiting. I really hope the wait is to get some of this season's content mixed into the game. Given how this process is going I wouldn't be too surprised if we see Mr. Garrison fucking all the immigrants to death. Then again, maybe not…
South Park: The Fractured But Whole — The Coon Conspiracy
Evil stirs in the town of South Park and The Coon has sworn to clean up the trash can of society. When the Coon and Friends investigate the disappearance of a local cat, they discover the threat is far greater than any of them realized. Allied with the mysterious New Kid and his magical butthole, will the intrepid group of Super Heroes be able to harness their amazing powers and save the town?
Was this video more of a reminder of the wait we now have for South Park: The Fractured But Whole or was it a nice look at the game's opening for you?
