How Ready Are You For What Dishonored 2 Has To Dish Out

Dishonored 2

A new trailer for Dishonored 2 is here but this time it is a live-action Dishonored 2 trailer to gaze upon here

Dishonored 2 is a mere weeks out from launch, November 11th, and we should all be "celebrating" and getting ready to dive into the new game that Arkane Studios has put together for us. We've seen a whole lot of amazing things for the game so far and it looks like it could be another great hit. Granted, we've only seen about two missions in the game and a few overviews of powers in the game so far but little is left to the imagination it would seem now. I guess this is why Bethesda has brought us yet another trailer for Dishonored 2. Sadly, it is a live-action trailer for the game…

I hate live-action trailers when it comes to video games. This should be nothing new for the long time readers here but I'll say it every time we get one as it truly is nothing more than showing off an "ideal" version of a game that we'll most likely never seen. It's all hype and not much more. None the less it is here to entice us and we should at least consider giving it a watch as Bethesda did spend some cold, hard cash on it. If anything we owe them a YouTube view…

Dishonored 2 — Take Back What's Yours

A stolen throne. An empire in chaos. An Empress and a Royal Protector are all that stand between a mad witch and absolute power. When Dishonored 2 launches on November 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, it will be up to you to choose the legacy you leave behind as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano. Will you soak the streets in blood as you fight to take back what’s rightfully yours from Delilah? Or will you ghost through the world, quietly uncovering the mystery brewing in the Empire of the Isles? Celebrate the impending launch with a new live-action trailer.

While this still doesn't change my thoughts on live-action trailers for video games, this new one for Dishonored 2 does blur some lines between video game and live-action. In many of the cases in the video here I would have easily mistaken it as a pre-rendered video from the game and not real actors. I am sure that Arkane Studios would have loved to get Dishonored 2 to look like this in live gameplay but I'm certain we are still a ways off from having this be the case. None the less a great and fun video even though it did nothing to truly show off the game in its raw form. Or at least any form other than a bit of story.

What do you think about this new live-action trailer for Dishonored 2 that we've been give? Would you have been confused if it wasn't labeled live-action or would you have seen right through it all? What are your thoughts on live-action trailers for games in general? Let us know what you are thinking and feel free to discuss in the comments below. For more on Dishonored 2 as it comes and we get closer to launch date, be sure to stick right here as we'll have all the new information and details that flow out there between now and then.
