A solid release date for Batman: The Telltale Series has been revealed and it looks like the first week of August is when Batman will be taking flight again
Last week we were teased with when Batman: The Telltale Series would be coming to us in digital format but we were told that we would get to see a new trailer just in time for SDCC. As they are people of their words over at Telltale Games we now have a released date for the digital version of the game, August 2nd, and a trailer for the first episode of the game. Just the perfect time to bring us all Batman and now we know that we won't have to wait until we get home from the huge convention to give it a play. We'll just have to wait for about two weeks to get it and that is much better to know.
For the most part here in the trailer we don't get much more in terms of game mechanics or what to look forward to as even this trailer is filled with about 95% of what we had out of E3. That and all of the screenshots released thus far but it is cut in just a way to certainly entice and excite. I know my excitement level jumped back up even though I saw all of this before. I just wish they would have shown off the actual combat system they will have in Batman here and not just the amazing outcomes of hitting everything correctly. That is what the bullet dodging portion is here after all.
Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows
While we only get to see a few villains here in the trailer it is known that we will get to see the usual and expanded rogue's gallery in Batman: The Telltale Series. I am glad to see that they didn't kick things off using the Joker as almost all other franchise's do although I would have used someone other than Catwoman. She makes sense but she is not my personal choice. Maybe this will change all of that so I guess I'll just have to sit back and wait to see. Hopes are not overly high though.
