I think Telltale Games took the DeLorean the wrong way through the time stream. Instead of going back and making a huge game based off the franchise back in the late 80's and early 90's, they went forward and decided to make a game 20 years after the last film hit theaters. That is, if it somehow came out before the end of the year. That just seems like the wrong way to do things.
What they did do right though is snagged one of the guys who wrote the scripts from the classic films and also grabbed the great Christopher Lloyd to actually voice Doc Brown. Not a bad combo to make the franchise relevant again or at least try to get the two guys paid.
Further details are still a bit sketchy on this, but here is what we know:
- Marty McFly, Doc Brown and the DeLorean will be featured in it.
- Other announced characters from the films will pop up in some fashion.
- Hill Valley and 1985 will be physical and time locations.
- It will span five "episodes."
I think it will also be safe to assume it will hit the three downloadable locations like other titles Telltale produces for the PSN, XBLA and PC. Further information and such will have to wait until they get back with the DeLorean, I guess.
