More Country For You In Rock Band

Well, it's been a while since Rock Band got a bit more country in their song selections. Harmonix and MTV Games have announced a nine track pack of country songs for all the country fans out there. Yes, that includes myself. What? You've never seen an Asian with a southern accent before? Anyways, the songs will be available for the PlayStation 3, XBox 360, and for the Nintendo Wii on August 31, 2010. Here are the songs you will be getting for this pack.

  • Dierks Bently - “What Was I Thinkin”
  • Eric Church - “Hell on the Heart”
  • Jamey Johnson - “Women”
  • Josh Turn - “Would You Go With Me” +
  • Keith Urban - “Days Go By” +
  • Lady Antebellum - “Lookin' For a Good Time”
  • Laura Bell Bundy - “Rebound”
  • Reba McEntire - “Fancy” +
  • Sugarland - “It Happens” +

You can find these tracks under the pack name “Going Country Pack 04”. For those who own Lego Rock Band and want to play some of these tracks, I marked the songs available for LRB with a + next to them.

Oh, we are not finished yet folks! Next week in the Rock Band Network will bring twelve up-and-coming independent acts to join the already huge library of songs. Here is that list:

  • Rose of Jericho - “Buried Cold”
  • James William Roy - “Paper Valentines”
  • Glass Hammer - “Sleep On”
  • Robby Suavé - “Everyone I Know Is An Alcoholic”
  • Scratching The Itch - “End Of This”
  • You Shriek - “No Heroes”
  • Voodoo Pharmacology - “Minnesota”
  • Chrome Coma - “Bow Down”
  • Freen In Green - “Frontier Factory”
  • Paul Henry Smith&The Fauxharmnic Orchestra - “Night On Bald Mountain”
  • Counterfeit Pennies - “Five More Minutes”
  • Single White Infidel - “Inheritance”

My Take:

It's good to see Country music getting more love on Rock Band. Even if you are not a fan, at least experiences it once? Maybe? I am interested to hear the up-and-coming artists and see if I will like the songs enough to go and find more of their music and maybe spread the word about them. Either way, Rock Band peeps will have something new to play with next week.
