The Clashing Of The Titans Is Still Going On

Well now that the film has come and still kind of around in theaters, some of these screen shots (below) for Namco's video game version of the game have begun to make a little more sense. Although there were still no frog people in the film, some of the updated and altered creatures and scenes fit in a little better. With that said, some of the in-game character models look a little bulkier then their film counter parts. The insane cult leader is a perfect example. He was spindly in the film, but looks like he could be a spartan in the making below.

While this is looking to be anything but a made-for-film-release game, I'm still being a bit on the pessimistic side of things for it. I mean it does have the fact that it isn't being rushed for the film's sake like other movies, but the more I look at Clash Of The Titans, the more it's looking to be a clone of God of War, or at least a want-to-be clone. Like Dante's Inferno, only it's using the same myths that GoW used.

Let's just hope that giving the game an extra two months of work past the film's launch will let it be polished up enough to not be the normal film-licensed crap. I guess we'll see on the 28th of May.
