This Week In Video Games 10/24/16 — 10/28/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of October 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site What a week in video games we just had huh? So many amazing announcements and updates we had that I am still trying to recover before the Halloween parties get into full swing. It's going to be hard with all the Final Fantasy XV and Resident Evil 7 announcements and videos we had. That is only the tip of it all as Watch Dogs 2 had quite a bit and that isn't even digging into the Dishonored 2 stuff that we had this week. Read More…

Dress To Kill In Dead Rising 4 With A Load Of Costumes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Dead Rising 4 has been released out there for Halloween and this shows off the Dead Rising 4 costumes we'll get to don While Dead Rising 4 may not take place during Halloween, there is no question that there are some huge links between the game and one of the traditions of the holiday. That of course being all of the costumes the we get to put on. To help celebrate this and show off a few more of the costumes it looks like Capcom has put together a nice little trailer for us to look at to help kill the time until Dead Rising 4 releases on December 6th. The entire compilation of Kingdom Hearts is heading to the PS4 now as Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX has been announced for March 2017 I knew it was only a matter of time but it looks like Kingdom Hearts is finally making its way to the PS4 and not just Kingdom Hearts III. It looks like Square Enix wants to make sure we all know the story up to now before KH3 lands as we are now getting a new collection and for the PS4. The amazing news here is that it isn't just the two core games but the entire franchise up to now. That's right, here we go with the Kingdom Hearts HD 1. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of October 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
The third developer diary for Robinson: The Journey has been released and it covers the characters, companions, and curiosity Robinson aims to give us With only a few weeks until Robinson: The Journey's release on the PSVR system, November 8th, I know we all still have a few questions as to the true aim of the game here. So far Crytek has shown us that it is an exploration style game that takes place on a different planet in the future. With dinosaurs and all kinds of other prehistoric creatures. Read More…

Things Get Ominous As Final Fantasy XV Has Gone Gold…But In A Good Way

It looks like Final Fantasy XV has gone gold and we get a new trailer for Final Fantasy XV as well as some intel on the upcoming DLC The news has finally come and Final Fantasy XV is now 100% set to release on November 29th for the PS4 and Xbox One. No more delays and Square Enix has given us the solid date now so the long wait is almost over. A few more weeks and we all will have Final Fantasy XV in our hands and see just how the game has truly evolved over the incredibly long development cycle that took it from Versus XIII to where we are now. Let the excitement start to flow in the streets…maybe that was a poor choice of words… To celebrate the announcement of the gold status, we have been given a few things to help ease the waiting period. It Looks Like Evolve Most Likely Won't Reach Stage 3 Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
We've seen Evolve become something amazing but it looks like Evolve will no longer be changing and evolving as future development ceases If you thought that Evolve going free-to-play was an amazing thing and was going to bolster the player base back up to launch day proportions then you were…apparently wrong. At least that seems to be the case here as 2K Games has taken ownership of the game and Turtle Rock Studios will no longer be updating or tweaking the game from now on. This may or may not change in the future but as of now Evolve is stuck at Stage 2 and most possibilities of updates and Stage 2 coming to the PS4 and Xbox One are all on the back burners now. A Moogle A Day Will Keep The Bad Guys Away In Final Fantasy XV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 26th of October 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Details and gameplay for Final Fantasy XV's moogles have been released and now we can see how they will aid in Final Fantasy XV's battles If you've been following along with Final Fantasy XV's Moogle campaign you would know that there was a reveal coming for the cute little things in the game. It looks like whatever number Square Enix was trying to get to with the followers, RTs, and everything has been met and now we get to see just how Moogles will be affecting things in the game. Sadly it doesn't mean we are going to get a fully playable Moogle character in Final Fantasy XV but they do look to have some great bonuses mixed in even if they are nothing more than a stuffed animal here. Bang…Bang… A New Titanfall 2 Trailer To Make Us All As One
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Titanfall 2 has released to give us a feel for how Titanfall 2 would feel in a live-action setting and not virtual It seems like this is the week of live-action trailers as Titanfall 2 now gets the treatment here as a few other games have had. As with all of the other live-action trailers for video games I question "why EA and Respawn are you giving us a live action trailer instead of something from the game?" Of course this is nothing more than to get you ready for Titanfall 2 to hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th here but it does look like it houses a little more. Hence why it wasn't just tossed aside like the many other live-action videos as of late. Read More…

It Is Time To Get To Know Dishonored 2's Emily Kaldwin A Bit Better
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of October 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
A new video for Dishonored 2 has been released and it gives us a bit more insight into Dishonored 2's Emily Kaldwin Here we go with yet another look at Dishonored 2 and this time around it is to highlight Emily Kaldwin from the game. Arkane Studios could have just left her where she was back at the end of the first game but since she was upgraded to playable character and given a whole bunch of new powers it is fitting we get to know here. I am sure we'll get even more when we play Dishonored 2 on November 11th but that won't help Bethesda push the game out the door and onto our PS4s, Xbox Ones, or PCs now will it? No it won't and hence we get these fun "looks" at the character and what makes them tick. Read More…

In Resident Evil 7 Green Herb Will Make You Immortal But Not Like The Enemies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of October 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Two more short videos for Resident Evil 7 have released and this time we see how Resident Evil 7 is using the herb and shooting guns The next two video clips for Resident Evil 7 have been released. This time we get to see just how those green herbs in the game work and also, for the first time, Capcom shows us just how we will be using those weapons and ammo that we've stockpiled so far. Something I was thinking we wouldn't get to see until January 24th when Resident Evil 7 finally hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Granted it wasn't a strong thought but it was something I saw could have happened here. Read More…

How Ready Are You For What Dishonored 2 Has To Dish Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of October 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Dishonored 2 is here but this time it is a live-action Dishonored 2 trailer to gaze upon here Dishonored 2 is a mere weeks out from launch, November 11th, and we should all be "celebrating" and getting ready to dive into the new game that Arkane Studios has put together for us. We've seen a whole lot of amazing things for the game so far and it looks like it could be another great hit. Granted, we've only seen about two missions in the game and a few overviews of powers in the game so far but little is left to the imagination it would seem now. Read More…

Watch Dogs 2 Wants To Welcome Us To San Francisco Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of October 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Another gameplay trailer for Watch Dogs 2 has been released and it shows off a bit more of Watch Dogs 2's version of San Francisco If you thought you've seen enough of Watch Dogs 2 as we all wait for it to launch on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15th than apparently you would be wrong. At least wrong in the terms that Ubisoft wants us to keep seeing more and more on the game before the launch date to get us all excited and ready for the game. It does seem odd to keep getting more and more on Watch Dogs 2 when at this point is would most likely be fluff or something to spoil part of the fun of the game. Read More…
